We are an experienced provider of VoIP engineering and product solutions for carriers.
Here are some examples of the things we do:
Intelligent network services - The strongly interoperable and high-level nature of VoIP signaling protocols allows for the low-cost development and integration of a variety of intelligent network services into your voice-bearing network core, whether the transmission facilities are IP or TDM based.
If your softswitch supports SIP interworking, this opens up a compelling array of application-mediated delivery options that would be far more expensive to pursue and limited in their flexibility if delivered over SS7 TCAP or other legacy mechanisms.
Examples include:
Least-cost routing - Least-cost routing is a mechanism to ensure that your outgoing long-distance calls are always placed over the cheapest carrier for a given prefix.
There are many approaches that can be taken to LCR; sometimes basic LCR functionality is built into softswitch management.
The difference in a SIP-based solution using open-source proxy and user agent servers is that it can be leveraged to provide an immense granularity and customisability of business rules to ensure that your customers do not violate your assumptions about the cost-effectiveness of your blended rate plan, or that your wholesale service provider customers do not deliberately choose your most expensive routes.
Such a high-level approach allows the outcome to be tailored to your needs; you can monitor adherence to an RBOC/non-RBOC blend formula and deny calls which do not meet it. This way of doing things offers you the most flexible, inexpensive way to increase the margin on your minutes.
This solution does not require that you connect to your long-distance carriers via VoIP trunks; calls can be redirected back to your switch with appropriate translations and go out as TDM. You can't get this ratio of flexibility to cost with off-the-shelf LCR products!
Billing translations - If your billing engine and/or processes benefit from external database lookups that result in inclusion of trunk group numbers, billing numbers, or other information in the call records, building SIP mediation into your signaling path is a great way to accomplish that with minimal outlay.
Local Number Portability - SIP is an increasingly popular transport for LNP dips, over costly SS7 links to service providers and clearinghouses. We can assist you with the integration of "LNP-over-IP" dips into your call routing.
Enhanced directory services - SIP mediation can deliver enhanced directory lookups that customise and enhance the level of information provided beyond what is possible with traditional CNAM.
... and much more!
Billing process automation/record analysis - We can develop tools to automate your billing needs and analyse your call detail records (CDRs) in ways that save you money and streamline your processes.
Cisco ISDN gateway deployment - We specialise in the deployment, configuration, and support of Cisco AS5xxx series ISDN/T1 gateways and routers that utilise voice feature cards to accomplish the same purpose.
Interoperation solutions - We routinely troubleshoot complex SIP interoperability problems, and in many cases, can provide workarounds through intrusive mangling of the signaling data where solutions are either unavailable, unaffordable, or insufficiently expedient from the vendor.
Routing validation - Don't have time or money to update your switch with the latest central office code assignments and disconnects? Don't want to pay your switch vendor's professional services apparatus insane fees, or waste your time monitoring LERG changes in your LATA? We can help!
